ABOUT
About CumminsBoard
A clean, searchable spec board for Cummins-powered vehicles, from Dodge and Ram pickups to school buses and Class 8 trucks, built so the numbers you need are quick to find and easy to check.
01Who's behind it
CumminsBoard comes from the Dodge Off Road (DOR) crew: experts and enthusiasts who have worked in the off-road and diesel truck industry since the early 2000s. We've spent a lot of years around Cummins-powered Dodge and Ram trucks, and we got tired of conflicting spec charts. The board has since grown to cover the other vehicles Cummins engines power. You can read more about the store on its About DOR page.
02How we source
- Nothing invented. Every spec, rating and recall on the site links to where it came from.
- Cross-checked. Wherever possible a number is confirmed in at least two independent references: Cummins and vehicle-maker literature, NHTSA, and established diesel and trade publications. Single-source facts are labeled as such.
- Conflicts shown, not hidden. When sources disagree, we show the range and say who says what. If we can't verify something, it's left out. That's why some cells, like coolant capacity, point you to the owner's manual instead.
- Recalls checked at NHTSA. Recall numbers are listed only after we confirmed them in NHTSA's official data, summarized in our own words, with a link to the record.
- No copied bulletins. Service bulletin text belongs to the manufacturer. We explain how to find the official summaries instead.
03Using this information
This is a reference, not a repair manual. Specs change with model year, emissions package and build date, so always confirm against the owner's manual, the factory service information and your own vehicle before buying parts or turning wrenches.

05Scope
The Ram pages go deepest: ratings by year and transmission, year-by-year changes and parts links. The other family pages cover the makes and models we could tie to each engine through vehicle-maker literature and NHTSA filings. Where we couldn't verify something well, we left it out rather than publish a thin page. The By vehicle page lists what's in and what isn't.
